The Founder of Habour of Hope Initiative, Mrs Kate Wagbatsoma, recently represented the organization at the Istanbul International Model United Nations (IIMUN) — a prestigious global forum that convenes leaders, advocates, and changemakers from diverse nations to engage in diplomacy, dialogue, and solution-driven collaboration.

Her participation marked a meaningful milestone in the organization’s journey toward stronger global advocacy, international collaboration, and sustainable community impact.

Throughout the conference, Mrs. Wagbatsoma actively engaged in multiple activities, including committee sessions, policy discussions, diplomatic simulations, leadership workshops, and networking engagements with international delegates representing countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

Active Participation and Engagement

“Being part of the Istanbul International MUN was both inspiring and enlightening. It reaffirmed the importance of dialogue, collaboration, and compassion in addressing the challenges facing vulnerable communities worldwide.”

The discussions focused on pressing global issues such as social justice, healthcare access, education, gender equity, humanitarian response, and sustainable development — all closely aligned with the mission and vision of Habour of Hope Initiative.

“These conversations go beyond theory. They are about real people, real lives, and real solutions. This is exactly the kind of global engagement that strengthens our work at Habour of Hope Initiative,” she noted.

Strengthening the NGO’s Global Outlook

Participation in the Istanbul International MUN has significantly expanded the organization’s global perspective and reach. The conference provided valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, strategic networking, and partnership building with like-minded organizations and leaders.

According to Mrs. Wagbatsoma:

“The exposure and connections gained here will help us amplify our voice, build meaningful partnerships, and adopt innovative approaches that will directly benefit the communities we serve.”

This global engagement supports the NGO’s commitment to delivering holistic, people-centered solutions and advocating for dignity, inclusion, and empowerment.

Impact on Habour of Hope Initiative’s Mission

The insights and experiences gained from the event will contribute to the organization’s ongoing and future initiatives by strengthening advocacy strategies, program development, and international collaboration.

“Every space that allows us to learn, connect, and represent the needs of the vulnerable is a step forward for our mission. This experience will undoubtedly translate into stronger impact on the ground,” Mrs. Wagbatsoma emphasized.

A Step Forward for Habour of Hope Initiative

Mrs. Wagbatsoma’s participation reflects the organization’s dedication to continuous learning, global engagement, and leadership in humanitarian service. It reinforces Habour of Hope Initiative’s vision of a world where compassion, inclusion, and opportunity are accessible to all.

As the organization continues to grow, experiences like this strengthen its capacity to advocate effectively, design impactful programs, and collaborate across borders for lasting change.

Together, we remain committed to transforming hope into action — locally and globally.
